A quartet of American businessmen has invested a substantial sum in Sunderland AFC.
The investment will help the club rebuild with funds earmarked for the academy and fan experiences, ensures the club's executive director.
A group of American businessmen has invested a substantial sum in Stewart Donald's ownership of Sunderland AFC, reveals the Sunderland Echo.
In an interview with the newspaper, the club's executive director, Charlie Methven, says that the deal will help take the club "to the next level."
The group, working under the name FFP Sunderland, is comprised of Glenn Fuhrmann, John Phelan and Robert Platek, with Michael Dell also involved in a passive role.
