Spectators could soon be allowed to again attend matches in the Bundesliga if the German Football League (DFL) is successful in convincing local authorities.

According to German magazine Kicker, the DFL has already started discussions with the German ministry of health with a view of gradually allowing fans from next season.

The Bundesliga last month became the first major league in Europe to restart as a sign of the improving situation in Germany. The rest of the major European leagues are set to reconvene later this month.
