ITV to bid for Champions League TV rights

UEFA sent the tender for the 2021-24 rights to UK broadcasters interested in mounting a bid this week, according to the Times.

ITV used to jointly hold the rights with Sky until 2015, when BT won the rights.

The Champions League could be coming back to terrestrial TV in the UK as ITV is set to mount a serious bid for the TV rights, according to the Times

UEFA sent the tender for the 2021-24 rights to interested UK broadcasters, including both Sky and ITV, this week. 

The pair used to jointly hold the rights until 2015, when BT paid £1.18 billion over three years for the 2018-21 seasons.
