The Merseyside club have had the upper hand against the Spurs this season, winning both legs between the two clubs in the Premier League 2-1.

Liverpool are financially by far a bigger club than Tottenham, with a wage budget more than £100 million above that of the Spurs.

Spurs fans will be happy that Harry Kane is back training with the team and might feature in Tottenham’s first-ever Champions League final.

It’s the first all-English final since Manchester United played Chelsea in 2008 - the final of John Terry’s infamous slip at the penalty spot.
