Everton FC have launched a new environmental awareness campaign named "Everton for Change."

The campaign comes in the wake of the Liverpool Council's aim to become a zero-carbon local authority by 2030.

The club will introduce a number of initiatives, among others, reducing the amount of plastic used at Goodison Park.

Everton FC have decided to launch a new campaign to raise environmental awareness and explore new ways to make a positive impact on the planet.

"Everton for Change," as the campaign is named, will see the club and Everton in the Community renew their commitment to reducing their carbon footprint.

The club's new initiative comes in the wake of the Liverpool City Council and the Liverpool City Region Combined Authority (LCRCA) declaring a climate emergency, with the council setting the goal to become a zero-carbon local authority by 2030.
