Bolton Wanderers saved: Club sold to new owners

The sale of Bolton Wanderers to Football Ventures has been approved after a collapse seemed likely yesterday.

New owners say they will find a new manager and express the biggest symphathy with neighbours Bury FC who were expelled from the EFL earlier today.

EFL confirm that Bolton is now out of administration.

After months of chaos without a new owner in place yesterday it looked like it was game over for Bolton Wanderers as a take-over deal could not be finalized, but today Football Ventures finally got the keys to the club after a lengthy, shaky and complicated process.

“Now we are excited to begin restoring this magnificent football club to its rightful position, securing its future for the fans, the loyal club staff, and the players.
