EFL: Bolton could face expulsion if deal is not completed by Tuesday

The EFL board is frustrated with the delay of the sale of the club who has spent the past months in administration.

Bolton, now on the brink of a very real expulsion from the EFL, will have to speed things up if the club wants to avoid the worst-case scenario for any club in English football.

The EFL have released a statement heavily criticizing the delay in the sale of The Wanderers.

"The current situation cannot continue and the time to resolve the current impasse is now fast running out.
