Americans still interested in buying Sheffield United despite High Court verdict

Getty Images | Prince Abdullah (right) denies he has any plans to sell the club, valued at between £88 and £120 million, according to the Star.

American businessmen Dave Checketts and Alan Pace had prepared for a takeover of the club before a High Court verdict earlier this month directed Kevin McCabe, owner of a 50 per cent stake in the club, to sell his shares to co-owner Prince Abdullah.

Prince Abdullah, who will eventually gain full ownership of the club, says he has no plans to make a quick sale, but the offer from the Americans is still on the table, according to the Mirror.
