Wolves' sporting director leaves to join New York Red Bulls

Kevin Thelwell will join the US club as head of sport later this month.

Thelwell will also relinquish his seat on the club's board of directors.

Wolves' sporting director, Kevin Thelwell, is leaving the club later this month to join the New York Red Bulls as their head of sport.

Thelwell has spent more than 11 years at the club, starting as academy manager, before moving on to become head of football development and recruitment, and eventually becoming sporting director in 2016.
