Interview: Thousands subscribe to Liverpool YouTube Members Area after launch

Club reveals a “four figure number” of fans signed up to YouTube Members Area launch in first two weeks, despite little marketing.

Drew Crisp, Liverpool's senior vice president of digital, media and marketing, tells offthepitch.com the club intends to translate content into languages other than English.

LFC have 3.5 million subscribers to their YouTube channel.

Liverpool’s YouTube members' area attracted a "four figure number" of subscribers in the first two weeks of launching.

The club became the first global sports team to launch in early December and have seen an instant take up by thousands of fans - without the need for any major marketing push.

Drew Crisp, Liverpool's senior vice president of digital, media and marketing, said:

"Within the first week after launch, we have already seen we have a substantial fan base in this area of social media.
