Owner Stewart Donald and his partners hope to identify a buyer before the end of February, according to Bloomberg.

Donald agreed to sell the club in January, just 18 months after the English businessman took over the crisis-stricken club.

Sunderland's owner, Stewart Donald, is seeking up to £40 million for the club and hopes to identify a buyer before the end of February, according to Bloomberg.

Donald agreed to sell the club following a fan-led campaign demanding his departure just 18 months after the English businessman took over the crisis-stricken club.
