Stoke City have appointed Phil Chapple as their head of first-team recruitment, the club announces on their website.

In his new position, Chapple will oversee the club's scouting system and work closely with the board of directors as well as with the club's manager, Nathan Jones, and the first-team coaching staff in order to identify players for the Potters' first team.
