Stoke City and the historic German club St Pauli have ended their partnership due to changes in priorities, according to the clubs.

The partnership, which began two seasons ago, led to pre-season fixtures, among other things.

Stoke City and the German club St Pauli have mutually decided to end their partnership, the clubs announced in a joint statement on their websites.

"The partnership has brought the clubs closer together and led to a number of benefits, including two pre-season fixtures, coaches and officials from both clubs sharing knowledge and many intangibles.
