Sheffield Wednesday report Newcastle to the Premier League over conduct regarding Bruce’s appointment

Photo: Getty Images Newcastle appointed Bruce on a three-year deal 17 days after Rafa Benitez’s contract had officially expired.

Steve Bruce resigned as Wednesday’s manager and was promptly announced as Newcastle United’s new manager, taking two coaches with him. 

Wednesday are looking to get compensated but haven’t been able to strike a deal with Newcastle. 

Newcastle have now been reported to the Premier League by the Owls.

Sheffield Wednesday have reported Newcastle United to the Premier League following their conduct in hiring Steve Bruce as their new manager. 

Bruce resigned as manager of Sheffield Wednesday last week and was quickly announced as Newcastle’s new manager - taking with him Steve Agnew and Stephen Clemence. 

The Club confirms that it has today reported Newcastle United’s conduct to the Premier League.
