Serie A shirt sponsorships worth less than a third of Premier League's
27 August 2019
This season, the Serie A clubs will earn £105 million on their shirt sponsorships - less than a third of what the Premier League clubs will.
Juventus, AC Milan and Roma are all surpassed by a relative newcomer to the Serie A.
The 20 clubs of the Italian Serie A will earn a total of £105 million this season on shirt sponsorships, the newspaper Gazetta dello Sport reports.
Surprisingly, Sassuolo, who were promoted to the Serie A in 2013, top the list of clubs bringing in the most from their shirt sponsorships. Sassuolo's deal with Mapei, a decorating supplies company, earns the club £16.3 million a year.
However, Sassuolo's deal with Mapei includes naming rights to their stadium and training ground.
