The Serie A will reconvene on 20th June after receiving government approval, in what the president of the Italian Football Federation (FIGC), Gabriele Gravina, described as a "message of hope" for Italy.

Accordingly, the Italian top flight will be the last major European league to restart, after the Premier League outlined plans to resume on 17th June and LaLiga on 11th June. The Bundesliga earlier this month became the first to resume play.
