Serie A to increase the number of substitutions
Getty Images | Serie A clubs are allowed more substitutes on the bench than clubs in Europe's other top tier leagues. Now, the Italian Football Federation wants the clubs to be able to use more of them each game.
More substitutions are coming to Serie A as the national football federation has requested an increase from the current three per match to five.
The change has already been made in the lower Italian divisions.
