A just-published report by the Sports Grounds Safety Authority moves safe standing in football one step closer to reintroduction.

A just-published report showing safe standing in football has "a positive impact on spectator safety" has been met with government approval, bringing the currently banned practise one step closer to being reintroduced.
Implementing safe standing in football would allow clubs to increase the capacity of their stadiums, likely resulting in increased matchday income for English clubs, who are fighting to improve on every income margin.
