KPMG: Real Madrid surpass Man Utd as most valuable club

The Spanish capital club, Real Madrid, are now worth more than Manchester United after three years in second place.
A new report by the club accountancy company KPMG shows that a lot of changes have happened in terms of the rank of the ten most valuable clubs in Europe.
The research also shows that the overall value of the 32 most valuable clubs has grown significantly over the last three years.
Real Madrid are now the most valuable club according to a report made by the global accountancy company, KPMG. Los Blancos scored highest of the 32 most valuable European clubs in so-called enterprise value, which means the total value of a company.
The Spanish club are worth about £2.84 billion and thereby overhaul Manchester United after three years - the English club now being worth £2.83 billion. The two clubs are by far the most valuable as Bayern Münich and Barcelona rank third and fourth, respectively. Each has been valued at about £2.3 billion.
The report also shows that the overall value of the 32 clubs has increased by nine per cent each year and 35 per cent over the past three years. In total, the ten most valuable clubs are worth about £21 billion.
