The interim chief executive of the Premier League, Richard Masters, has announced that Premier League clubs will get a 30 per cent increase in international broadcasting rights.

The news doubtless comes as a relief to Premier League clubs, who faced a dramatic decline in domestic TV revenue last year.

Even though income from international broadcasting continues to rise, this will not, according to one analyst, change the fact that UK TV money will keep falling.
