Peter Moore says he is not involved in Liverpool's transfer dealings

Getty Images | Liverpool's chief executive, Peter Moore, said he often learns the specifics of a deal only minutes before an announcement.

Speaking to the New York Times, the Liverpool chief executive said that recruitment was delegated to a group consisting of the club's manager, Jürgen Klopp, and their sporting director, Michael Edwards, among others.

Moore made it clear that he did not believe CEO's of modern football clubs should be involved in transfer dealings.
