Owner under the Spotlight: Maxim Demin, AFC Bournemouth

With ongoing talks about how football should re-emerge, the pressure is on Bournemouth sitting in a relegation spot. The club's newly-released financial report shows that relegation to the Championship would be catastrophic for their business.

This week we cast the spotlight on the Cherries' majority stakeholder since 2011, Maxim Demin.

During Demin's reign, Bournemouth have promoted achieved promotion from League One to the Premier League and thus have had enjoyed the explosive turnover growth that entails. 

However, the club's profitability has not evolved in a healthy direction. Bournemouth's average pre-tax profit margin is a massive negative compared to the league average in the same period, which stands at 1,2 per cent. This is not least due to a very high yearly increase in wages.
