Massive loss lurks behind Inter's record revenue

Consolidated revenues for the Milano club grew by 20 per cent last season to the highest figure ever achieved by the club and has now more than doubled since their Chinese takeover in 2016.
Inter's net result, however, was a loss of almost €50 million due to significant player investments.
Italian club Inter have presented their annual results for the 2018/19 season, showing the club achieved their highest revenue ever but that they failed to break even due to significant players investments during the campaign.
The club's revenue grew by 20 per cent to €417 million, double the revenue at the time when the club's Chinese owner took over the Italians in 2016, while their net result was a loss of €48.4 million.
