IFAB to issue guidance on use of VAR

Getty Images | Since the introduction of VAR, the video assistant referee has been a hot topic among fans and commentators. Here, a fan is expressing his displeasure with the new addition to the game in the stands of the match between Norwich and Crystal Palace on 1st January 2020.

Following its upcoming annual general meeting in February, international football's lawmaker, IFAB, will issue guidance on the use of VAR.

According to IFAB's general secretary, Lukas Brud, "people are trying to be too forensic" with the use of VAR.
