Bragging rights: Hammers are seeking permission to create the biggest club stadium in London

Photo: Getty Images Almost 49,000 West Ham season ticket holders renewed ahead of the 2019/20 season. Despite record renewals, the clubs season ticket waiting list has fallen from 50,000 to 36,000 in just 12 months.

West Ham United are seeking planning permission to increase their capacity to 62,500, making London Stadium the biggest club stadium in London.

The seating capacity at London Stadium can potentially be increased to 66,000. 

Since moving from Boleyn Ground, the Hammers have increased their matchday income by 23 per cent.

Despite finishing tenth in the 2018/19 season, West Ham United are seeking planning permission to increase their seating capacity, creating the biggest club stadium in London - and second only to Manchester United in all England. 

The club currently have a capacity of 60,000 at London Stadium, but, according to The Times, the club will consult with residents at a meeting in East London on Monday night.
