Global leader in golf and baseball tracking enters football: "We will revolutionise how footballers practise"
PA Images | Since the restart of football there have been some great free kick goals from the likes of Kevin De Bruyne, Trent Alexander-Arnold and Cristiano Ronaldo. Trackman hopes that the industry will embrace their radar technology to improve players ball striking. Here Ronaldo scores a penalty during the Serie A football match against Atalanta.
The biggest golf stars and best baseball teams in the world are counted among its customers. After ten years of interest, the technology company Trackman is entering the football industry.
"Our tool can help teams score more goals by increasing the conversion rates of existing critical goal-scoring opportunities of direct freekicks and penalties," the company claims.
In a post-Covid-19 world, the development of players under tighter financial constraints is increasingly important to the sustainability-focused business models of clubs.
