PARIS - As FIFA president Gianni Infantino sets to work on his new four year presidential term following his election by acclamation at FIFA Congress today, former leading figures in world football have issued stinging rebukes against the Swiss.
Infantino’s former mentor, and one time FIFA presidential hopeful, Michel Platini, said that Infantino “lacked legitimacy”, while Sepp Blatter has said that he would be issuing legal action against Infantino.
