Financial head-to-head Liverpool v Atletico Madrid

Liverpool v Atletico

PA Images | Liverpool will have to up their game to turn around their 1-0 first-leg loss to Atletico Madrid.

Liverpool, after three losses in four matches, unconvincingly broke their streak of poor form this weekend with a 2-1 win over Bournemouth, but the club will have to up their game to turn around their 1-0 first-leg loss to Atletico Madrid.

The Merseyside club's wage bill is significantly higher than that of their Spanish rivals at £310 million to £210 million.

Both clubs have conceded 21 goals domestically this season, but at 66 to 31, Liverpool have scored more than twice the number of goals made by Atletico, likely meaning Diego Simeone's men will have to rely once again on their solid defensive record.
