Financial head-to-head Chelsea v Liverpool

At 15 points, Liverpool have almost twice Chelsea's eight after the first five games, but Lampard's squad will be confident knowing Liverpool are not invincible, seeing last year's Champions League winners beaten 2-0 midweek by Napoli.

Despite that, Chelsea themselves have something to prove after losing 0-1 at home in the Champions League to Valencia, with Ross Barkley missing an 87th minute penalty to the 13th placed La Liga club.

The two teams have already faced off once this season, in the European Super Cup, with Liverpool coming out on top after penalties in a 2-2 draw. 

Financially Liverpool have the upper hand but in terms of followers on social media Chelsea have a big lead.
