The Copa America, South America’s premier national team competition, has signed a content deal with social media giants Facebook to produce behind-the-scenes content for all 12 teams this summer.

Behind-the-scenes footage has already proved to be of great value in terms of reaching supporters.

A partnership between Copa America and Facebook will allow official tournament profiles on both Facebook and Instagram to use content from training centres, hotels and team transportation.

Facebook will also utilise its ‘Watch Party’ feature - a feature for groups that allows administrators to hold a live screening of pre-recorded videos which are publicly available on Facebook. Group members can all watch and comment on the videos at the same time, creating a shared viewing experience.
