The club’s initial stadium construction estimate was £300 million, but confirmed an increase to £500 million in 2018.

Club officials have told they remain confident that costs for Bramley-Moore Dock would remain within the current estimate.

However, stadium experts believe the final cost of the 52,888-capacity stadium could increase by almost 50 per cent from the club’s current estimate to £700 million.
