EFL clubs will not be allowed to return to training before 25th May as there are still a number of key issues needed to be sorted, including finalising a comprehensive Covid-19 testing programme for its members.

Pressure is growing on English football to make a definite decision on whether the season should be concluded or not. A number of other European leagues have signalled their intended return date, and the Bundesliga will become the first to reconvene on 16th May.
