West Ham were open to the idea of resigning Marko Arnautovic this January as a fix to their goalscoring issues, according to the Daily Mirror, but backed out of a potential deal after the coronavirus grounded all planes out of China.

The striker forced his move to the Chinese club - Shanghai SIPG - last summer because of the financial gains of playing in the Chinese league, becoming hugely unpopular with West Ham's supporters in the process.
