Bidders still in place for Derby County despite EFL charge

Two parties are said to be still in negotiations to try and buy Derby.

Derby insists both sets of discussions have priced in EFL charging risk.

Derby would pursue EFL over any deal shortfall if decision goes in club’s favour.

The US investment fund that was thought to have dropped out of negotiations to acquire Derby County is still talking to the Midlands club.

Up till now it was assumed that the American firm had pulled out of talks with Derby County owner Mel Morris, leaving only an approach led by Swiss financier Henry Gabay.
