EFL spending case: Derby hire leading QC

Leading sports lawyer Nick De Marco has been brought in to represent the club in the case of alleged breaches of the EFL's Profitability and Sustainability rules.

Derby have hired leading sports lawyer Nick De Marco QC of Blackstone Chambers to represent the club in the case of alleged breaches of the EFL's Profitability and Sustainability (P&S) rules.
In January, the club were charged with excess losses by the EFL following a review of the club's P&S submissions for the three-year period ending 30th June 2018.
Ranked as one of the leading barristers in sports law, De Marco regularly represents sports governing bodies, players, clubs and agents, among others, in football disputes.
