Even though it is the NFL franchise which got hit, the charge puts even more pressure on Arsenal’s summer transfer budget, criticised by fans.

The Los Angeles Rams, the NFL franchise run by Arsenal owner Stan Kroenke, have been ordered to pay up to £18.8 million ($24 million) to supporters in St. Louis, the team’s former home.

Personal seat licence holders in St. Louis had filed a class action lawsuit against the Rams after purchasing the rights to their tickets at the club’s stadium, known as The Dome, for 30 years.

At the same time, Kroenke is yet to inject any of his own wealth into Arsenal
