Aiyawatt, referred to as Khun Aiyawatt, succeeds his late father who died in a helicopter accident last year.

His previous role of vice chairman will be taken by his brother, Apichet Srivaddhanaprabha, who will remain on the club’s board of directors.

Aiyawatt Srivaddhanaprabha is the new chairman of Leicester City, the club have announced.

Khun Aiyawatt had been the club’s interim chairman, after his father and former chairman, Vichai Srivaddhanaprabha, died in a tragic helicopter accident in October last year. 

In May this year, the club announced Lee Congerton as their new head of recruitment in a bid to return to European football.
