Leicester City show no signs of putting the brakes on investment in players as they voice their ambition to become a top six Premier League club.

The club’s financial results for the year ending 31 May 2018 reveal a massive slump in pre-tax profit of £1.6 million compared to a record £92.5 million in the corresponding period in 2017.

“In the wake of the club’s successful run in the lucrative UEFA Champions League 12 months previously, profits for 2017/18 were predictably significantly reduced,” the club said in a statement.
