AC Milan to renew airline sponsorship for reduced value

The club's deal with Emirates expires in June but will be extended on significantly reduced terms, according to the Italian newspaper Gazetta dello Sport.

Milan's commercial revenue showed a worrisome decline in their latest financial accounts.

Emirates will extend its sponsorship of AC Milan but on significantly reduced terms, according to the Italian newspaper Gazetta dello Sport, a major hit to the club's already declining commercial revenue and any plans of reversing the situation.

Contrary to the general trend of rising sponsorship revenue in football, the Italian club's commercial revenue declined from €63 million in 2017/18 to €57 million in 2018/19.
The new deal with Emirates will be worth €10 million a season, €4 million less than their current deal expiring in June.
