Simon Bazalgette joins EFL board

SImon Bazalgette is well-connected as he is part of an influential family having worked in the media business for many years.

The Jockey Club's CEO and chairman Simon Bazalgette is to join the EFL Board as an independent non-executive director.

The 57-year-old Brentford supporter is the nine-person board’s second independent non-executive director, joining the interim chair Debbie Jevans.

He previously held a similar directorship on the board of the London 2017 IAAF World Championships, the most successful world athletics and para-athletics games ever staged.
