Financial Report: Reading paid £225 in wages for every £100 of income last season

Reading had a staggering operating loss of £40.7 million in the 2018/19 season, though that was offset slightly by selling their training ground to the club's owner.

That is a similar manoeuvre to what they did the season before – selling the club's stadium to their owner.

The club's wage bill rose by £5.4 million and is among the highest in the league.
