Financial head-to-head Brentford v Swansea City
Alamy | Swansea and Brentford also met in last season’s playoffs with the London club winning in two matches.
Brentford get their second shot at Premier League football after losing the Championship play-off final to Fulham last year. They now face Swansea in "the richest game in football."
The winner is ensured additional revenue of around at least £135 million and up to £265 million over five years, depending on survival in the first Premier League season.
Thanks to parachute payments Swansea's turnover was significantly higher than Brentford's last season, at £50 million to their £13.9 million.
While Brentford recorded a pre-tax loss of £9.1 million, down from a profit of £24.3 million the year before, Swansea turned a £7 million loss into a £2.7 million profit.
