Amazon Web Services, a subsidiary of Amazon, will use artificial intelligence and machine learning to predict future plays and game outcomes for Germany's top flight.

The Bundesliga plans to utilise the company's machine-learning services to create individualised, real-time recommendations and to offer fans personalised game footage and marketing promotions, among other things.

Using the league's more than 150,000 hours of match footage, the Bundesliga will build a cloud-based media archive to automate what is currently a manual process of pinpointing match highlights.
