Abramovich' British investor visa expired in April 2018. When he couldn't get a new one, he got Israeli citizenship instead making him the richest person in Israel.

A spicy quote from Sir Jim Ratcliffe has yet again stirred up rumours of him taking over Chelsea.

But according to media sources, Chelsea’s owner, Roman Abramovich, is not going to let the club go.

Even though Britain’s richest man, Sir Jim Ratcliffe, has been quoted as saying:
“You never say no, but I don’t know where those conversations will finish,” about a possible Chelsea takeover, there will be made no such arrangements according to Sky Sports News.

The media understands that Roman Abramovich, who bought Chelsea in 2003, has not spoken with Ratcliffe or any other potential buyers, and has no desire to do so.

Rumours have been running wild about whether Chelsea FC will soon have a new owner. Speculation took off after Abramovich withdrew his plans to restructure Stamford Bridge for £1 billion.

On top of this, the 52-year-old Russian has not been to a single Chelsea match this season. But so far Abramovich has been reluctant about selling and there has been no real development regarding a Chelsea takeover.

Club Director Marina Granovskaia currently oversees Chelsea's day-to-day football operations on Abramovich's behalf.
