Wigan Athletic goes into administration four weeks after takeover: Sports lawyer questions EFL's rules

Wigan will be handed a 12-point penalty by the EFL after the club announced they had entered administration.

It happens only four weeks after a Hong Kong-based consortium took over the Championship club. The club recorded a net loss of £9.2 million in their most recent annual accounts.

Sports lawyer raises doubt about the adequacy of EFL's rules and its ability to enforce them.
