Despite talk of slowly letting fans back into stadiums in certain European leagues, it may still be a while before clubs are able to capitalise on fans again.
We have taken a closer look at which clubs were the best at making money from their fans relative to stadium capacity in 2019.
When we look at the clubs with the lowest income per seat, nine of the 20 worst-performing clubs were Scandinavian.
Just one of the nine Scandinavian clubs managed to obtain a stadium utilisation rate above 50 per cent, suggesting that there's significant potential to capitalise further on fans - once they are allowed back into stadiums.
