Serie A kicks off the new season this weekend, and we have therefore taken a closer look at the net debt figures of the clubs.

In total, the clubs playing in Serie A last season had net debts of €3.9 billion - a staggering amount, especially considering the enormous uncertainty created by Covid-19.

Napoli had the fifth-lowest net debt figure in 2019, as the club were able to pay off a significant portion of their liabilities through cash reserves.
