Arsène Wenger is ready to be announced as FIFA's new technical head.

The Frenchman spent 22 years at Arsenal before leaving in 2018 and has since worked as a pundit.

The legendary former Arsenal manager - Arsène Wenger - has agreed to join FIFA, where he will become the organisation's technical head, though his official title has not been finalised, writes the New York Times.

Wenger will have a broad portfolio to improve coaching standards and offer advice on other areas that influence the way the game is played.

The Frenchman left Arsenal in May 2018 after 22 seasons at the club and has since suggested in interviews that he would be open to coaching again.
