LaLiga has apologised to Chinese fans after state broadcaster China Media Group (CMG) suspended broadcasts of the Spanish competition and matches involving Real Madrid forward Kylian Mbappé.
According to 2Playbook, the suspension took effect on Tuesday, following comments by Mbappé about a meme comparing him with Mao Zedong, the founding leader of the People’s Republic of China, whom he called a “dictator”.
