Another bidder has emerged for the Serie A in Bain Capital, who, according to Bloomberg, have made a €3 billion bid for a 25 per cent stake in the Italian top flight.

The report comes after it last month emerged another private equity firm, CVC Capital, was in discussions about a 20 per cent stake in the Serie A for a price of €2 billion.

Bain Capital's bid would value the league at €12 billion, while CVC's bid would value it at €10 billion.
